Flight Test Summary

  • Flight test two weeks ago
  • Image capture worked well at 0.5Hz
  • Need faster downlink
  • Need ability to request large versions of images
  • Manual egg drop testing
  • Too fast for previous assumptions...


Imagery

  • CPU usage of all tools reduced
  • Parallelized downlinker
  • May be problematic for large images
  • Images can be requested for downlink or conversion
    • Integrated into Mirage
  • IR capture integrated into software
    • Hardware needs to be integrated into Fenrir
  • Several Mirage bugs fixed
  • Cthulhu and Triton upgraded to Ubuntu 14.04


Water Bottle Drop

  • Wind Tunnel Testing
  • Aero data measured
  • Lift, drag coefficients for drop airspeed envelope
  • Will use to develop drop location algorithm
